Bob Delevante Photography Featured in Nashville Arts Magazine

A huge thanks to Nashville Arts magazine for the great write up.  It was really a pleasure working with Paul Polycarpou and the entire staff for the story. You’ve got to love a magazine that’s dedicated to highlighting the art and artists of this great city. I am honored to have been included.

Also check out the great feature on Darrell Scott, a great Nashville songwriter. If you haven’t heard him yet, go get some music.

You can pick up a copy of the magazine at a number of locations in town including: Fido, The Frothy Monkey and any of the galleries in town or check them out here.

Judging the Watkins Student Graphic Design show

The other day my friend Dan Brawner contacted me to ask if I would be interested in judging the “Split & Twisted” student graphic design exhibition at Watkins College of Art and Design right here in Nashville, TN. Dan is the department head and an amazing illustrator-see his work here at brawnerart.com. It was both an honor and a great time-lots of amazing pieces! The show will be up for a few weeks so if you get a chance please check it out.

New photographs of Southside Johnny

I’m originally from NJ so there are several things I’m partial to. The drive (at night) from Hoboken to the Jersey Shore, Bruce Springsteen (I think it’s a law), a good egg sandwich and Southside Johnny, not always necessarily in that order.

So it was both a blast and an honor to photograph Southside and design the package for his new CD “Pills and Ammo”. The disc is great-check it out.

Little did I know way back in 1980 when I saw Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes play in the gym at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Rutherford, NJ that I would later become friends with John. I’ve been lucky enough to have him play harp on both my CDs and then work with him on several CD packages including an earlier release of his “Messin’ With the Blues”.

C’mon John-lets do a vinyl package for “Pills and Ammo”!

A few more images from the shoot.

The egg sandwich at the Spa Diner in Hoboken, NJ. “The only place in town where you can get a pack of newports with your cheesecake.”

The ticket stub from the FDU show. (I save a lot of stuff.)

Running the (Checker) Marathon!

Well folks, I am now the proud owner of a 1968 Checker Marathon A12. It’s pretty amazing-a gift from the original owner of the house my family and I live in. (A four-square built in 1912-more on that later.) The car was bought new by the owner in this house and has found it’s way back. It needs a little work…I did break down and get towed the other night, but it’s getting there (sort of).
